UPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility: Qualification and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have a Master’s degree (with at least 55% marks) in the relevant subject.
- It is mandatory to pass UGC NET/SLET/SET exam.
- Phil/Ph.D holders will be exempted from NET (if registered before 11 July 2009).
For Dangerous Goods Inspector
- Graduation in any stream
- Passed Dangerous Goods Training Course.
- 5 years experience in relevant field is required.
UPSC Assistant Professor Age Limit
Assistant Professor
- The maximum age limit has been fixed at 35 years.
- Reserved categories will get age relaxation as per rules.
Dangerous Goods Inspector
- The maximum age limit has been fixed at 40 years.
- The age limit will be calculated on the basis of 27 March 2025.
UPSC Assistant Professor Salary: Pay Scale and Allowances
Pay Scale
The salary will be given as per Level 10 and Level 11 on the posts of Assistant Professor.
Other government allowances like DA, HRA, TA and medical facilities will also be available.
