Telangana Public Service Commission reschedules Group-II exams to December
Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) rescheduled the Class II examination for December on Friday.
TGPSC said in a statement: “It is hereby informed that the Commission after considering the proximity of the dates of various recruitment examinations has decided to reschedule the Class II examinations scheduled on August 7 and 8 to December 2024. The Class II examinations will be held in December on a date to be notified.”
It is worth mentioning that the unemployed youth have been protesting for days, demanding the postponement of the DSC examinations, which were scheduled to be held a week after the Class II examinations.
After discussing the matter with the Class II candidates, the government decided to reschedule the examinations to December.
Earlier in the day, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka told Class II candidates that the government would consider their demands.
During a meeting with Class II candidates at the secretariat, Vikramarka directed TGPSC Chairman Mahender Reddy to look into the possibility of postponing the examinations, which was demanded by the unemployed youth.
Plan exam schedule carefully: Bhatti
“After identifying vacancies, the job schedule will be announced and competitive exams will be held in a non-overlapping manner,” Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka assured the second set of candidates.
He said that if the previous BRS government had filled the vacancies in the last ten years, lakhs of families would have been settled by now.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the government was taking steps to reform the education system. He advised the youth not to fall into the trap of some vested interests.
“If you threaten or try to blackmail the government at the instigation of some selfish people, you will be involved in cases and ultimately, it is only you who will suffer,” he warned them.
Online Coaching
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government plans to open Ambedkar Knowledge Centres in every constituency in a few days to help those preparing for competitive exams.
These centres have been set up with modern technology and will provide free online coaching from 10 am to 5 pm to those preparing for competitive exams.
He said subject experts from across the country will be sought to provide training to candidates for competitive exams.
Experts will conduct online classes with Hyderabad as the main centre. Those preparing for the exams can ask questions online from their respective centres and seek clarifications on doubts, Vikramakar said.
“From now on, those preparing for competitive exams will not have to endure the pain of surviving on Rs 5 a meal in Ashok Nagar as the government will provide online coaching for unemployed youth,” he said.
