• This will open a new window displaying a PDF list of successful candidates.
• Download the PDF and print a copy for your records.

Examination Schedule Recap

Preliminary Exams: Held on May 28, 2023.

Mains Exams: Conducted over several days: September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023. These sessions were organized in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 noon and 2 PM to 5 PM. The results of these exams were declared on December 8, 2023.

Final Interview/Test: This was conducted from January 2 to April 9, 2024, for those who cleared the Mains exam.

The UPSC conducts these exams to fill 1,105 vacancies across various central government departments, including top services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

• Look for the link titled “Civil Services Examination 2023 Final Results” under the “What’s New” section on the homepage.
• Click on the link to open the PDF file containing the list of successful candidates.
• Download the PDF and take a printout and keep it for future reference.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 process consisted of several stages:

• The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023 was held on 28th May.
• The UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2023 was conducted from September 15 to 24 in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
• The results of the Main Examination were declared on December 8, 2023.
• Candidates/students who cleared the Mains exam were then shortlisted for the last final personality test/interview round, which took place from January 2 April to April 9, 2024.
