How to apply for Germany student visa?

The entire process of applying for a student visa has now become online. Know here the step-by-step method of applying

  • Go to the portal and create an account
  • Open the digital.diplo.de website.
  • Click on the “Visa” option on the homepage.
  • Select “Study Purposes and Seeking a University Place“.
  • Select “India” as your country.
  • Create a new account with a valid email ID and password.
  • Fill the application form
  • Login to the account and fill your application form.
  • Upload the required documents and submit the application.

Verification and appointment

  • The application will be reviewed by German authorities.
  • You will then be called to the VFS centre for biometric data and document verification.

Types of Germany Student Visa

There are different types of visas available for studying in Germany depending on your study plan –

Student Visa – This is the visa you need if you have got admission from a German university.
