Applicants must bring a printed copy of their admit card, a recent photograph, a valid photo identification card, and any necessary documents to the examination centre.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 starting today, April 4.

The exam for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will take place on April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9, and for Paper 2 (BArch/Planning) on April 12, 2024. Admit cards for the initial days of the exam session are available for download at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

On exam day, participants must have a printout of their admit card, a photograph, a valid photo ID, and other necessary documents. The admit card also outlines specific instructions for the exam day, including a dress code.

JEE Main 2024: Dress Code and Day-of-Exam Instructions

  • Participants should opt for slippers or sandals with low heels; closed footwear such as shoes is discouraged.
  • Light clothing with half sleeves is recommended, such as T-shirts. Clothing with long sleeves is prohibited, and attire should not have large buttons.
  • Those wearing attire for religious or traditional reasons that do not comply with the dress code must arrive early for a thorough inspection.
  • Admit cards should be printed in colour on A4 size paper. Ensure that all information, including the photo and signature, is clear. Print all pages if the admit card is multi-paged.
  • The exam centre does not allow items like handbags, mobile phones, or any electronic/communication devices.
  • Accessories such as caps, scarves, sunglasses, and any metal objects, including watches, are banned. The exam console will have a clock for timekeeping.

Candidates can bring their JEE Main admit card, a photo ID, a photograph (for the attendance sheet), a PwD certificate, and a scribe document (if applicable).

A pen and scribble pad will be provided, and candidates may also bring water and hand sanitizer. Diabetic candidates can carry specific edibles as detailed on the admit card.
