PM Modi Scheme for Women: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana with the aim of empowering and providing employment to women.

This scheme will be launched from the holy land of Panipat in Haryana, which was also chosen by the Prime Minister to launch the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.

What is Bima Sakhi Yojana?

Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, women will get an opportunity to work as agents of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). These women will be identified as “Bima Sakhi”.

The main objective of the scheme is to make women financially self-reliant, where they will be able to earn by insuring the people around them.

When and where will the scheme be launched?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch this scheme on 9 December 2024 in Panipat, Haryana. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini held a review meeting with the officials regarding this program and called it historic.
