MP Sarkari Yojna: More than 30,000 houses approved for PVTG families, know the benefits of the scheme
More than 30,000 houses have been approved for the weaker and backward classes under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-JNM) in Madhya Pradesh.
This scheme has been implemented with the aim of empowering the most backward sections of the society and connecting them to the mainstream. A target has been set to build 4.9 lakh houses in the state by March 2026.
Objective and benefits of the scheme
The objective of this scheme is:
Providing housing: Vulnerable tribal families will get pucca houses, so that they can live a respectable life.
Road and communication facility: Along with houses, better roads and communication system will also be developed.
Employment opportunities: Along with creating infrastructure, local people will get employment opportunities.
Connecting with the mainstream: Tribal families living in remote areas will be connected with urban and rural development.
Improvement in living standards: This will improve the living standards of tribal communities and they will get basic facilities.
Statement of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Former CM and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said,
“The aim of the Modi government is to take the benefits of schemes to the last person of the society. More than 30,000 houses have been sanctioned for PVTG families of Madhya Pradesh under the PM JNM scheme. 4.9 lakh houses will be constructed by March 2026.”

This scheme has been specially designed keeping in mind the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG).
Launch of the scheme: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme in November 2023.

Under the scheme, along with the construction of houses, other basic facilities such as:
- Pure drinking water
- Health services
- Expansion of education
- Economic self-reliance
- Will also be given attention.
