Maharashtra Board SSC Exam 2025: What will be the minimum marks to pass?
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has released the schedule for the 2025 SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) exams. Along with this, any change in the minimum passing marks rules has also been notified, which is important for the students to know.
Maharashtra Board SSC Exam 2025: Important information about passing marks
Minimum passing marks: The Maharashtra Board has clarified that in the 2025 SSC exam, students will have to score at least 35 marks in each subject. Students will fail in that subject if they score less than this.
Minimum marks for Mathematics and Science: For some time now, there was a plan to reduce the minimum passing marks for Mathematics and Science from 35 to 20. However, this reduction will not be implemented in the 2025 exam. These rules may come into effect from the upcoming session.
Proposed reduction: Under the National Education Policy, the State Steering Committee had approved the reduction of the minimum passing marks for Mathematics and Science from 35 to 20. If a student scores 20 marks in these subjects, he/she will be issued a passing certificate, but this may make students ineligible for admission to courses with Mathematics and Science.
Exam Schedule:
SSC Exam: Will be held between February 21 and March 17, 2025.
HSC Exam: Will be held between February 11 and March 18, 2025.
Conclusion:
Students will have to score 35 marks in each subject to pass the Maharashtra Board SSC exam 2025. Although some rules were expected to change for Mathematics and Science, 35 marks will remain mandatory for these subjects in 2025 as before.
