Latest Jobs Alert – According to a recent report, domestic companies have outpaced multinational companies in terms of job offers and salary packages.
The report states that accelerating economic growth, growing demand in fintech, consulting, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors, as well as government schemes and digitization opportunities have fueled this boom.
Domestic companies are recruiting more from IIMs – This year, Indian companies have hired significantly more students from Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Many companies are recruiting for the first time at IIMs like Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode and Mumbai, and in many cases, the salary packages are also better than last year.
Key points of the report – According to the Economic Times report, startups, manufacturing and industrial companies, boutique firms and domestic fintech companies have hired about 40% more people than foreign multinationals.
IIM Mumbai – Domestic hiring uptick IIM Mumbai has seen strong domestic hiring this year, with e-commerce and quick-commerce companies hiring more students, including prominent companies like Blinkit (offers with a package of Rs 30 lakh), Meesho (offers with a package of Rs 49 lakh), and Delhivery (offers with a package of Rs 24 lakh).
These companies have offered better salary packages and hiring, driven by rising consumer demand, digital adoption, and better logistics.
IIM Mumbai has seen a growth of over 10% in total job offers and a 5% increase in average salary.
IIM Indore and IIM Ahmedabad also see strong packages Domestic companies are offering great packages and better career programs at IIM Indore and IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Indore has hired more students by financial companies, prominent among them are Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Deutsche Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.
At IIM Ahmedabad, FinIQ Consulting gave the highest number of offers at 11, while Navi gave 10 offers.
Increased salary package at IIM Calcutta IIM Calcutta has also seen a great increase in the average salary package this year. Here the top offers have crossed the Rs 1 crore mark and the average salary has increased by about 15% compared to last year.
Companies like TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Navi, Zomato gave the highest number of offers at IIM Calcutta. The list also included foreign multinational companies like Accenture, American Express, BCG, Goldman Sachs and PWC.
