KCET 2025 Latest Update – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially preponed the Kannada Language Exam for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates appearing for the Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (KCET/UGCET) 2025.
What’s Changed?
- Old Date: April 18, 2025
- New Date: April 15, 2025 (Tuesday)
Reason for Change: April 18 coincides with Good Friday (public holiday). The rescheduling was done following candidate requests and government directives.
Kannada Language Exam Details
- Date: April 15, 2025
- Time: 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (1-hour exam)
- Centres: District centers located in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru
- Candidates: Only for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates
KCET 2025 Main Exam Dates (No Change)
The regular KCET 2025 exams will be held as scheduled:
- April 16, 2025
- April 17, 2025
The KEA has clarified that the rescheduling of the Kannada exam will not affect the main KCET exam dates.
KCET 2025 Exam Highlights
- Purpose: Admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and other professional programs in Karnataka.
- Admit Card: Available soon at the official KEA website — karnataka.gov.in

- KCET 2025 will have 4 answer options per question.
- Other KEA exams may have 5 answer options.
