KCET 2024 Update – KEA Announces No Hall Tickets for UGNEET- Only Applicants
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced a crucial update for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 aspirants, specifically affecting those who have exclusively chosen UGNEET (Undergraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for their admission process.
These candidates will not receive hall tickets for the KCET, as their admissions will hinge on their NEET UG scores.
According to the KEA’s recent notification, hall tickets will not be available for download for candidates who have opted solely for UGNEET.
The authority explained, “For UGCET 2024, candidates who have selected only UGNEET will not receive CET Admit Cards.
These candidates will instead participate in the NEET Seat Allotment Process for Medical/Dental/AYUSH courses.”
The KCET is primarily conducted for admissions into undergraduate courses in Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy. Besides organizing this entrance test, the KEA also manages the common counselling sessions for these programs.
Moreover, it oversees the admissions for undergraduate medical seats in Karnataka through the state quota, for which NEET serves as the sole entrance examination.
Thus, aspirants aiming for medical courses exclusively will bypass the KCET and proceed directly to the counselling sessions, leveraging their NEET 2024 outcomes for admissions.
The KCET for other undergraduate programs, such as Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy, is slated for April 18 and 19, with the Kannada Language Test set for April 20. (KCET 2024 Update)
Applicants can access their admit cards on the KEA’s official websites, kea.kar.nic.in and cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
