IIM Kashipur Launches One Year PG in Hospital Management for Doctors and Healthcare Professionals
The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, in partnership with Max Health Care, has launched an innovative one-year postgraduate executive program in hospital management targeted at doctors and healthcare professionals.
This initiative addresses the growing need for proficient operations managers within the healthcare sector.
This specialized program promises a rich mix of theoretical knowledge, hands-on case studies, and direct industry engagement, aiming to equip participants with an in-depth understanding of the healthcare industry.
Instruction will be delivered by a joint faculty from both IIM Kashipur and Max Health Care, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Completing the program grants participants the prestigious designation of IIM Executive Alumni.
The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, such as healthcare economics, healthcare financial management, healthcare sales and marketing strategy, organizational behavior and human resource management in healthcare, operations management and process analysis, supply chain management in healthcare, the impact of emerging technologies in healthcare, medico-legal issues, and strategic management.
Designed to meet the specific demands of the hospital management sector, this program aims to foster expertise essential for thriving in the fast-paced world of healthcare management.
IIM Kashipur and Max Hospital previously ran a four-month Leadership Development Program from September 2023 to January 2024, where 75 senior professionals enhanced their leadership competencies.
The inaugural cohort of this program has attracted ten practicing doctors and fifteen healthcare professionals, each with over ten years of experience.
Kunal Ganguly, the Dean (Development) at IIM Kashipur, emphasized the uniqueness of this collaboration between an IIM and a leading healthcare organization like Max Hospital.
This partnership has culminated in a distinctive one-year course designed specifically for health professionals, aiming to fulfill the increasing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in India.
