CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme.
This scheme has been launched with the aim of helping girl students to pursue higher education. Eligible girl students can get financial assistance under this scheme.
Key features of the scheme
Financial assistance:
Eligible girl students are given an assistance amount of Rs 500 per month, which continues for a maximum of two years.
Renewal:
Beneficiary girl students of the 2022-23 version of the scheme can renew this scholarship.
Last date:
The last date to apply is 23 December 2024.
Eligibility for scholarship
The student must be the only child of the parents.
Educational Qualification:
It is mandatory to have 60% or more marks in class 10th.
The student should be studying in class 11th or 12th in a CBSE recognized school.
Fee Structure:
The tuition fee in class 11th or 12th should not exceed Rs 1500 per month.
The fee should not increase by more than 10% in the next two years.
Other conditions:
The student should have good conduct and attendance.
Renewal of cancelled scholarship is not possible.

Select Scholarship tab:
Click on the tab of “Scholarship” on the homepage.
Apply Online:
Click on the “Apply Online” link.
Select SGC-X:
Click on the “SGC-X” link for new application.
Login:
Enter class 10th roll number and date of birth.
Fill the form:
Fill in the required information and upload the documents.
Submit:
Submit the application and keep the printout safe for future.
Required Documents
10th class mark sheet.
Tuition fee receipt.
Birth certificate.
Aadhaar card.
Passport size photo.
Verification letter:
Verification certificate issued by the school.

Start of application: Ongoing.
Last date: 23 December 2024.
